I'm happy with my muffler delete, no drone, sounds good and the car is 30 lbs lighter. I couldn't justify the price of the borla although they do sound amazing. I couldn't take how quiet it was after a year and had the factory suitcase muffler cut off and welded a couple mandrel bent pipes to the factory single tips. The corvette with cold air intake, NPP fuse pulled, borla mid pipe with sec cat delete, 180 stat, my own ported TB, modified outside air intake track, plastic intake cover and coil covers off did 432 rwhp with Janettys conservative 93 octane tuneĪgreed on the LT1 non npp exhaust. Lowering and keeping water temp below that and making the air intake track as cool as possible just prevents timing and power loss. Those cars start pulling timing at 195 degrees and also pull timing when IATs are over 100 degrees. One of the things I watch for is to control water temp and IATs, something I did with my 2015 stingray. I also did my own conservative air box mod while insuring I get full ambient air versus possible heated under hood air, and removed the snow blocker. The Borla S sounds better than any stock NPP with open valves imo. I didnt waste my money on NPP, I like the dual tip better than the quad and the system is lighter. Now I have heard different Horror Stories about everyone of these guys, but I believe a the End of the day every business is going to have its horror stories from a couple of unhappy customers. So basically I'm hoping to find the best Tuner for my perticular setup.Īt the top of list right now is Jannety Raceing, East Coast Supercharging, and Race Proven Motorsports. Now obviously I'm doing all of this for the performance gains but my number one concern is absolutely long term reliability.
